What We Do:
From the beginning, the conference has been an intergenerational experience, where single Episcopalians and other single seekers –always-single, divorced and widowed; post formal education through post retirement could come together under church auspices for spiritual nurture, learning and sharing around issues common to the single life, fellowship and networking. The conference also has, from its inception, offered an opportunity for the development of a concept of ministry with single adults within the Episcopal Church at local, diocesan, provincial and national levels.
The conference has always been open to people of other denominations who wish to attend. The conferences are always staffed primarily by single Episcopalians or those who have previously experienced the adult single life and thus understand it at a visceral as well as intellectual level. Staff members, both clerical and lay, are persons who consider themselves life-long learners on a spiritual journey, who have particular skills in the areas of group dynamics and the helping professions.
